The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told by Paul Rudnick Don your gay apparel for the holidays and come see Paul Rudnick's gleefully outrageous reinterpretation of Creation featuring Adam and Steve - and Jane and Mabel! These innocently bawdy Garden-dwellers are on a journey of wonder and exploration, from their bodily functions to the names of the animals and, ultimately, to the nature of their relationship with their Creator. Act II finds these same characters at home in modern-day Manhattan, facing more down-to-earth issues: one of them is dying, and one is about to give birth. At once provocative and reverent, uproarious and deeply touching, this nativity tale is sure to open your heart this season. Contains adult language, nudity and sexual situations. This production is dedicated to the late Tony Babin, former Star Bar board member, founder of Upstart Performing Ensemble and creator of the Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival, one of the first of its kind in the country. He owns the elegant Café du Grand Boeuf in Paris: sumptuously stocked and poised for year-round service… and open only to him. He arrives on this evening in 1961 fresh from the bullfights in Madrid, despondent over love, and announces to his horrified staff that he intends to commit suicide there, in the restaurant - by starving himself to death. January 27 -February 12, 2012 Othello, the Moor of Venice by William Shakespeare Local scene sensation George Spencer (Bug, 2011) is the title role in Shakespeare's brooding, volatile tragedy of passion and betrayal. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 senior/military/veteran $6 for students (student tickets available at box office only; sorry, no reservations) Sunday Special: Un-reserved seating is Pay-what-you-can! Reserve through Paypal at the bottom of this page or email [email protected] to make your reservation and pay at the door if you prefer. Performances are at 128 N. Nevada, just around the corner from Acacia Park. Entrance is in the middle of the block, between King Chef and Fratelli. Theatre is on the second floor. There's an elevator available if you need it; if you don't, please help us conserve electricity by taking the stairs.  Tickets purchased online will be waiting for you at the box office on the evening of the performance.  Unfortunately we cannot guarantee seating for online transactions made after 4PM on the day of the performance.
